The Question Marks

This is the best part of the list, right? The stuff that can't be put down to a single species.  Some of this will get let go in the end. For example, if I get a beetle down to a family or genus, and I know I don't have anything else in that group - it's a "thing" for the list. Active question marks up top, and an archive down below of resolved questions.

2/25/20 - rhododendron sp?

Here I thought that this would be safe, but there are apparently hundreds of species of rhododendron. Our very own state flower. . . and I did not know this. Future homework will be to figure out what species it was.

2/26/30 - a. . . well a "potato bug"

That's what I called them growing up, but apparently there are woodlice and pillbugs, which may not be the same thing, and 3-4 possible species. Should have looked closer!

2/26/30 Snowberry sp?

Who knew? There are at least two species out here - trailing snowberry, and mountain snowberry. I'll get back and take a closer look another day. Edit - 2/26/30 - just trailing or common snowberry would be possible. Common is the most likely, and I'll just have to get another look. :)

2/26/30 Roundback slug Arion sp?

This site showed me that there's actually a lot of slugs out there. I had thought it was just one or two species of invasives. It looks like a helpful site for identification!
